“Gives Back - Oldham Jam”
www.mohawklesscancer.com/
Hello,
The Mo-Hawk Less Cancer started as a fundraiser for Kevin Oldham and his family hosted by his fellow firefighters and is an organization dedicated to fighting the war on pancreatic cancer by raising awareness and funding for much needed research. The Mo-Hawk Less Cancer Oldham Jam was a huge success which really moved and humbled Kevin and his family. In a way to express their gratitude the Oldham family decided to continue the Mo-Hawk Less Cancer name, turning it into an organization capable of continuing to give back. Having received help in their time of need inspired them to find ways to reach out to others in similar situations. In this spirit, on April 10th, 2011 Mo-Hawk Less Cancer will “Give Back” by holding an event in Kevin’s honor; The Oldham Jam-which will be held at the Sundance Saloon, Waukegan, IL.
I am John Oldham, Kevin’s Uncle and your help is desperately needed. Kevin was a remarkable Firefighter, Paramedic, Musician, and Angler who was diagnosed with stage IV inoperable pancreatic cancer in April 2010; He was a loving husband and father of two young girls, Stella and Evelyn, and a man who became unable to perform his dream job of fighting fires and saving lives because instead he had to undergo aggressive and exhausting chemotherapy. Kevin passed away on March 11th, 2011.
The Oldham Jam is being held in Kevin’s honor and bequest so that we, his family - may “give back” to another individual – a child, fighting this battle - and I am collecting donations for a silent auction that will take place during Oldham Jam. No contribution is too big or too small – it is your sincere desire to help, that is important.
You may contact me at 262-945-0814 for pickup of your contribution or mail your contribution to 1817 104th street #103 Pleasant Praire, Wisconsin 53158. If you would like more information on the “Mo-Hawk Less Cancer, Give Back Oldham Jam” you may visit the website at: www.mohawklesscancer.com.
Thank you for allowing me this time to share with you the legacy of a special man and his dream to continue the fight. Please know that your contribution will go a long to help a child fighting pancreatic cancer in Kevin’s memory and your contribution is tax deductable.
Thank you again, I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Sincerely,
John Oldham
God Bless
